The founder of Wikipedia has a noble complaint to share all the worlds information with everyone everywhere, anytime. In what ways has this mission been successful? In what ways has it not been successful?

I think that the founder has been successful because so many people, including myself, use Wikipedia as a very capable source for information. It allow for anyone to give information on a certain subject in their own words. But thats where Wikipedia is unsuccessful. I remember my high school Chemistry would constantly tell us that we werent allowed to use Wikipedia for reference because of the casual access of entries from anyone. The other main reason that Wikipedia is not accommodate for scholarly referencing is because there is no identifiable authorship or permanence to the articles. For example, lets say you cited an article on computer literacy in Wikipedia for a class paper.
