Biological leaching experiments were carried out using fungal isolates, genus Aspergillus niger. Modified Czepek Dox medium with low sucrose was utilize as medium for culturing the selected fungi. Microorganism was tested for acid-production and leaching capabilities of minerals from the char sample.HPLC abbreviation revealed the production of various low molecular weight positive acids mainly acetic acid, citric acid and gluconic acid. With Aspergillus niger, baksheesh correspond to acetyl-coA and pyruvate carboxylase was also observed. Energy dispersive spectrum analysis reveals that silicates, aluminates and calcites be totally removed possibly by forming the respective mineral salt with organic acid.
