Slavery is a limitless topic that includes sacred to eerie stories about buckle downs. The story of Frederick Douglass falls into that category. Plummer, Douglasss aunts offender, is nothing more than a cold-hearted man. Douglass uses cold-hearted man to show that Mr. Plummer is an uncaring, unsympathetic man. Mr. Plummer shows no remorse to those he hurt. No matter what anybody did, good or bad, He would lash her to make her rioting… Mr. Plummer takes joy upon the punishment he serves to the slaves, to make her scream, her screams encourage and file him to not just whip her more but to whip her harder. He would at times seem to take peachy pleasure in whipping a slave; Douglass is making it evident that Mr. Plummer is a merciless man; he uses with groovy pleasure to show the satisfaction and desire Mr. Plummer takes in mistreating the slaves.
