1. Form/ Structure, Plot:
In the novel Wuthering Heights, the author has a complex structure where the narrator is Lockwood who is writing the fib of Heathcliff in a journal which is told by his housekeeper, Nelly Dean. The complexity of the structure deals with the situation that it rebuke about the represent day of their time and switches to a flashback of the past. Wuthering Heights is a theme within a story and in some ways its difficult to go over whether they are talking about the past or the present day Wuthering Heights. Nelly tells the story in chronological ordain starting time from the time when Mr. Earnshaw came home from a trip with a divest named Heathcliff till the closer time period of only a year ago story of how young Catherine engagement to Hareton. Emily Bronte uses imaging and flashes back to the past to bring forth a story with emotion and depth that even when Lockwood supposedly writes this in his journal, to us the readers we can almost see what Bronte wanted us to see.
In Wuthering Heights, a man named Lockwood comes into Yorkshire and begins to rent at the Thrushcross Grange. Upon arriving he stick out with his new landlord, Heathcliff and felt unwelcomed.
When he returns home, he feels the need to talk to someone and that when his housekeeper, Nelly Dean, begins to tell him the history of the people. It begins when the Earnshaws lived in Wuthering Heights, and Mr. Earnshaw adopts Heathcliff. Thats when Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw begins to flag in love with each other. When Catherine gets tolerate at Thrushcross Grange, she is agonistic to live there and becomes a lady-like figure, which she chooses to have the respect of senior high school society, even choosing to marry Edgar Linton instead of her true love. Because of this, Heathcliff seeks revenge from everyone who has hurt him in the past until his own madness/love for Catherine kills him in the end.
