Juvenile Criminal Court
As Americans, we aver that the wrong court outline is fair and consistent. We live in one of the greatest nations in the world; as citizens we give up the privilege of living in a country that proclaims freedom, nicety and equality. As a United States citizen, I know that the makeup will protect me and if I am ever aerated with committing a crime, the malefactor court system will dole out me fairly. When a someone under the age of eighteen commits a crime, he or she must also face the consequences of his or her actions. Is it fair to charge a small fry the same office that the courts charge an adult? Is it fair that the consequences argon the same? The insipid court system has been established to protect people who are being accused of committing a criminal act and that person is under the age of eighteen.
Before the establishment of the juvenile criminal courts, there was not much need for them. Life was real different and children often worked very hard from sun up to sun down under their parents supervision. As a parent, you had ultimate responsibility and control over your child. The parents were the entirely ones who would punish a child for their actions and the court system was mental ability with that.
It was not until later years that the courts had to intervene. As times changed, so did the parents ability to constantly supervise their children all day long. Parents were no longer working from home and had to depart to work in factories leaving their children unsupervised for long periods of time. deprivation of supervision and attention is often what leads minor into bad situations. minors committing crimes could not go unpunished and the juvenile court system was created. The cases in early juvenile courts were considered civil matters rather than criminal (Meyer & Grant, 2003).
